I wonder if it makes it easy to do bends behind the bridge?

I can't think of any other reason, seems like too low of an angle.

yeah its like everything is completely flat mounted with the body. maybe Ed thought you could use the string distance between the stopbar and the tune O matic peice as a mini harp! :D that could be funny.

interesting, very unique looking
i like the straight through neck which you don't see too many guitars with it, it gives nice sustain even better with a brass nut.
Also I like the simplicity look it has to it.

That was the first thought that crossed my mind, and that's why I thought of bending. I think if you were a country player who liked to do pedal bends by pushing down on the string behind the nut that bridge might actually make it easier.

Then again, maybe not.

neck thru's are pretty nice but i prefer set necks myself. i like to have just a little heel at the neck joint like my les paul. i do like the single humbucker tho, i've always been a fan of that since i rarely use a neck pickup.

if you like sustain you should check out one of those old Travis Bean guitars.. they were a aluminum neck thru the body with koa body wings. it was a string thru body hardtail bridge where the strings went right thru the aluminum neck peice, accross alum. neck and up to the alum. headstock! it even had a brass nut! talk about sustain. i seen one these at a old music shop i worked at and it sustained for days.

The second guitar i ever owned was an Aria pro II ts-600 thor sound.
It had a straight through neck and a brass nut as well and also had active circuitry (which I didn't like).
At the time I didn't even have an amp, I ran it through a tape deck into a hi-fi system which actually works very well.
I sold it along time ago but wouldn't mind getting another one.
I keep searching the net for a used one maybe one day i will find one....(sigh)
