What cab/cabs are you planning on using?

I'll use it with my 8ohm SWR Goliath Jr 2x10 for smaller gigs and rehearsals, which should pull around 400 watts from the Markbass (500 watts at 4ohms).

I'll keep my pre/power amp rack setup for bigger gigs when I feel like pumping 750 watts into my SWR Henry 8x8 cab.

Thanks Larry, I was considering something like that to lug the Markbass. I've got a few old backpacks and a spare laptop bag stashed in the garage somewhere, so one of those might work too. I wouldn't worry about racking the LMII, because that defeats the purpose of it's small size and low weight. By the time you rack it into a 2RU SKB or Gator rack you'd double the weight!

I see the advantage of the LMII is that I can put it in a backpack with leads and a tuner etc, grab a bass and the 2x10 cab in each hand, and it's just one trip to and from the car, which is ideal for rehearsals and small bar gigs.

I haven't found any rack mount ears to be available for the LMII.

They do make rack ears for the LMII, or at least they did when I bought mine, they weigh as much, if not more, than the amp!

How good does the Henry sound? I've been thinking about getting one.

YOu may want to check out some of their speaker cabs ...the SWR is nice but kind of harsh compared to some of the more modern stuff esp the Mark bass stuff. The mark bass cabs are featherlight too

As good as anything I've heard. The 8's project a long way and also define their sound real fast, so you can be standing 12" in front of your cab and hear exactly what you'd hear 30 yards away. They're going to bury me with Henry.

Yeah, the dealer I bought the Little Mark from was talking up the Markbass 6x10 cab, and I must admit I was tempted. But I plan to use the light Little Mark head with my SWR 2x10 for small gigs and rehearsal, so it's already a nice compact light rig.

For bigger gigs where I need more watts I'll still use my current setup with the Henry, and usually at those larger gigs there are plenty of buddies to help with the load-in ;)
