I'm *really* interested in getting my Blueburst Morse signed by THE MAN himself.

I'm south of Chicago a few hours and he and Satch are playing The Windy City in mid-September - but only Satriani has (high-priced) Meet & Greet tickets offered. I'd gladly pay that to meet Steve (not my first time) and get the guitar signed (which I didn't do the last time as it was more than 25 years ago!) but that's not an option.

Anybody have any success with the "hang out by the bus after the show" approach?

Or, any other suggestions appreciated!

Steve is very generous with his time to fans and will happily sign anything if you meet him. However, if you want the sure thing, just pay for the meet n greet. My experience is that even if you're good friends with the star, getting past security without a pass can be pretty difficult at some venues.

Having met Steve, I agree he is VERY generous with fans and will sign anything you ask him to. I was lucky, I met him at a clinic hosted my Music Man.

This comes up periodically, Steve has in the past made a point to come out and visit with fans after the show. I'd even go so far as to offer he sees it as much a part of his job as playing the show. He realizes most of the people who are fans of his have been following him for a long long time and he really seems grateful.
Hope he does this tour as well. Good Luck.

on the other hand, endlessly bug BP to have another fantastic Knucklehead "Bash", by which you can simply say, "hey Steve, comear a second"!

I'd gladly pay, but the paid meet & greet is for Satriani - no mention that Steve will be there...

Looks like I'll be "skulking the buses" after the show in Chicago - update to follow (hopefully with a pic of the signed guitar :) )
