OK, OK. I took delivery of a Sterling by MM SILO 30 this week. It was a real bargain which I just couldn't resist. I'll take some pics over the weekend and post them - well, Mrs OLPlayer will.

The build quality and the pick ups are amazing. It plays like a dream. I had always heard that SBMM guitars were great and I must congratulate Pat Park on a superb product.

The only thing I intend doing is to change the stock 10s for 9s - well, I'm hoping someone nearby will do it for me ;)

 yeah it'll cost you a chilli.

OlPlayer brought it to the jamnight on Thursday and I ran it very quickly through the Mesa. Now I'm not one for eloquently describing how a guitar sounds. If yer lucky I'll probably say "yeah it feels great and I like the sound" - I wouldn't even be able to honestly say whether it had "migrating tones or use other sonic superlatives".

But I'll tell ya what - have you ever played a note or a phrase and it made yer tummy turn over or the hairs on your neck stand on end? - well I had this with OlPlayers guitar. I can't wait to put 9's on it and do a tad of set up (saddles will defo go lower).
It is a very nice guitar - oh and it's black too - nice !!!!

He must be on the Golf course this afters and will be at my gig (lumping gear) tonight so said materialisation of the guitar - if it does exist will or should take place 2 morrow.

I've owned the white/rosewood version of this one, and I have the same model of guitar that OLPlayer bought. the black/maple one has some mojo that the white one didn't. I'm not even much of a single coil guy, and I really like the sigle coil tones you can get out of these.

the strings to 9's bring the saddles down a tad and play the snot out of it!
I'll take some shots on my digi SLR too
