.....so I volunteered to fill in on bass when needed and when the band is set on guitarists......so the first chance is Sunday...and I just got called up...... I'll use my son's Ibanez Mikro bass for this one.....

I then realize....EBMM makes basses. Actually very much noted for basses. If I really like playing bass........well......oh, no.

Ok.....gotta start thinking up excuses for the wife......(and stop at GC on the way home tomorrow)

help!

Sterling baby. I had a Rickenbacker, and later a Stingray, but sold them in favor of the Sterling. IMO, the Sterling is more of a 'guitar players' bass. The neck is thin so it just seems more natural to one who primarily plays guitar.

Plus they look cool as hell.

Actually I think the Sterling may be the one but GC is dumping Bongos and grind the living daylights out of them ...walk out of the store a few times.....They dont want them

So with 2 of us in the office today (out of 50), I headed to GC.

Played an absolutely gorgeous StingRay 5. Neck reminded me of my Axis....wicked cool pick guard, gold hardware. Just wow!

Then Mike (the guitar manager) drags me over to see a Mystic Dream JP that someone bought on line and returned there. Played that for 45 minutes.

I get home and announce to the family that I'm buying both. They are mildly alarmed and amused at the same time.

Pete.....I'll definately come see you before I buy anything.
