Got off the phone with GC this afternoon. My Bongo 5HHP was slated for the week of the 27th. Then I heard "It looks like it is going to be delayed some." Turns out he (my salesman) called his EBMM rep and the bass is slated to be completed on the 23rd or so, but by the time it works its way through QC and the shipping I am looking at another week or two. I have loved my dealings with EBMM so far and would never rush their production or qc... but the waiting is going to kill me (my wife said that if I say anything else about the delay of "that da*m bass" she'll kill me). Like I said in another post, I am starting to feel like a kid again "Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" :(

Thankfully there is Kermit (the "official" tag the green Bongo was given ... which happened to stick - my band won't let me live it down). One Bongo is better than none (unless you are Bovine in which case 5 is better than the 4 he already has  )

Hehehe. Kermit. So you've got the Kermit H. I wonder who's got Kermit HS and Kermit HH?

I feel for ya man. I felt like a litttle kid again when I called on that used Bongo 5 fretless at Bass NW and they said a guy had given a deposit on it and was coming in Saturday to pick it up. Wah wah wah - darn near wrecked my night! :(

I think that is even worse... you've been looking for a fretless for awhile haven't you? To be beat out by a guy and a deposit  eps, since the Bongo fretlesses haven't even been rolling off the line - making that one a bit of a rarity.
That truely sucks!

Actually I could have had it the first time I called. I would have needed to sell my Ken Smith BT5G to get it and I hesitated to do that. For now my SR5 Fretless sounds great; I def have "Bongo Fever". :p

As far as any GAS sickness, I guess that is the one to have.

this is so awesome. :D :D :D :D

perhaps Brian Boots can make you a pink mouth colored pickguard with a tongue on it (like midopa suggested).

is it true that there is a H, an HS and an HH?

On a separate note, how do ya'll get the pictures loaded into your posts?

I'm sure there are directions somewhere but I can't find em.

All might not be lost!

I have some "special" friends that will find and then whack this guy and feed him to the sharks for you. That way Bass NW also get to keep the initial deposit.

Just say the word.
