if he had it at the price he should- around 200 bucks, I'd buy it and put it back to how it was! you can't possibly ask that much- the resale value is killed!

I remember seeing that guitar on ebay a few years ago. It did not have a Strat neck on it at the time, it had the original neck. I contemplated buying it at the time and having it refinished so I know that it didn't have that neck on it. He wanted way too much for it then so it didn't make enough financial sense to buy.

Probably for the best......in all seriousness, I'd have asked him:
#1: Do you still have the original Axis neck, which really makes these guitars as good as they are?
#2: What kind of paint is on this? I'm planning to refinish it back to whatever the original color was.....what was the original finish?
#3:I'd expect that if the neck is missing and with the cost to refinish....uh....I'd have to take it and you'd owe me money. If the correct neck is included, it's worth perhaps $500 to me.
