Hey guys, sorry to make the new threat, but I was wondering if anybody, or oddjob could post in here a pic of Kermit, the lime green Bongo, asap. Nothing urgent, just meaning to show a friend of mine. I've searched the previous forum pages up to the thirtieth I believe and I'm certain I passed over it or something along those lines. Anyhow, thanks in advance.

ok im gonna be a good kid and hi-jack this thread instead of starting a new one. can someone show me a pic of a lava pearl stingray with a pearl pickgaurd and a maple fretboard please? matching headstock and 3 band eq would be prefered, but anything as long as its a stingray with a lava pearl finish.

Ohh, good idea travis. That does sound pretty catchy, though I can't really help, still computerly retarded really. Keep searing.

If you wanted to tally up all of our options, you would need to photograph over 40,000 instruments.
That is the main reason we haven't updated the build an instrument site.

We should have the new website up and running shortly.

Dargin. Mr. Enforcer. Im not trying to be smart with you but we have heard that the website would be "up and running shortly" for a while now. It doesnt bother me that much. bass central has all the pics I need.

you could pull some tricks and not have to photograph everything ... agreed, that would suck ;). but you could dynamically generated images etc.

anywho ... looking forward to seeing the new site

I think some of the images up there are already altered so.

Notice the wood grain for the following transparent finishes:

110-50-20-02.jpg
110-52-20-02.jpg
110-53-20-02.jpg
110-54-20-02.jpg

Looks the same, no? Me thinks the hue and saturation were changed for a few pics to save time. Granted, it's not bad, but real pics of the finishes would be nice. Please know that I'm not trying to bash anyone at EB, just pointing this stuff out.

Anyway, I can't wait until the new website comes up!

nice catch. id put together a system to generate any combo on the fly. things wouldnt be exact ... but it is a 220ish pixel image representing a full size bass; even an exact pic is gonna be off

and like midopa said: im not tryign to bash anyone at all! you guys make kik ass intruments & are a great co. to deal with.

That is something I've noticed. Again, though it's getting redundant, not bashing, just agreeing. But I've noticed some pics, like for instance trans teal, almost every picture I see of that bass looks a bit different. Though I do realise the colouring differs from year to year sometimes and the lighting can make it look totally different. It is pretty exciting to think about what a bass you make in the 'build an instrument' section will really end up looking like.
