Woohoo! It's here and dayum is it bee-yoo-tee-fullll! :D

(It being a 20th Anniversary SR5 HS maple fretboard non-painted headstock.)

Unfortunately I was able to spend about 30 seconds looking at it before I had to pack it back up and get back to work because it was delivered 15 minutes after lunch ended :( *looks over shoulder*.

Pics are definitely in order. Hopefully today but maybe not until tomorrow.

I'm sooooo freaking stoked!!!!!!!! :D :D :D Can't wait to plug it in and jam! Don't think my neighbors will be too happy though, I won't be using the headphone amp tonight!! :D

So, how much work did you NOT get done this afternoon? :D

Now you have to invite me up. You get to play my LE fretless and I get to put KFC stains on your 20th.

Actually, I busted my butt in an effort to make the afternoon go by faster. Did it work? Of course not!

Definitely a get together is in order. If there are other nutmeggers here maybe we could get some kind of BBQ together or something. :)

As far as pics go, I do have a couple to post. I had about 3 minutes to snap these before wifey went shopping so I didn't get to snap all the cool angles I want to get yet.

In keeping with seems to be a burgeoning trend, I had my son model the bass as he is much cooler than I.

Oh yeah, 56K people? Run for your lives. What follows is about 2MB in imagery.

Opening the case, what do we have here?

Logo on pocket inside case. I love little details like this.

I feel these pics show off the figuring in the top. Not sure if it stands out
as much since these pics are reduced in size, but there's figuring going in
opposite directions on the top, giving a 3D feel to the grain.

Working on one finger per fret. I figured I'd start Ben in the upper register first:

Look at that! Playing for only 5 minutes and already got floating thumb technique down. :D

Holy schnikey, Batman! I cannot believe how amazingly easy this bass is to play! The neck is like buttah, it's so smooth and fast. I've tried all the switch positions and for me, the second click from the neck is like the voice of god.

Well, time to get back to playing! :D
