congrats, but what you just stated is impossible... liquifire and crunch lab become standard after desert gold got discontinued. if you indeed got those two pickups, then it's a second hand guitar. when did you order it?

some one please chime in, DG was discontinued last year right? maybe it's a orange firemist, blazing cool color too, alot like DG.

Dante that is what I asked the dealer and he told me his EBMM rep had one in home stock whatever that means. he assured me it was new (the price reflects it) and it does indeed have the newer pickups. Should I be worried ?

Dante, not so in this case ... it doesn't go by finish color but by date completed. This particular guitar was only completed last month as part of a scheduled-out order ... an anomaly of sorts but nonetheless true. This may be the only DG JP built that has these new pickups, one of a very few at any rate. I have seen the guitar first hand and this I know.
