Seriously im close to getting my first axis now.
From a good source in Germany. I will pay more but it will be in like new shape.

So i am gonna choose between a HoneyBurst and a Trans Gold one.

They sent me pics of the honeyburst and it looks a bit dull but i think that it is the pics.
I have attached two photos, one of a forum members honeyburst axis and one of the axis that they sent me the pics of.
I want you guys to tell me if it will probably look about the same up close and if it is the photo.
The first on is the forum members and the second is the one i might buy

i will post the trans gold one as soon as i get pics.

I think it looks dull from the lighting and the angle...there's too much glare to tell how nice the top is.
I think I like the first one better...but is that the one that you said had too much wear? If it were here in the US, I'd probably buy it....

Just based on those two photos, I'd say the first one. It has a very nice quilt pattern, and the burst on that one just looks better.

The second photo isn't a very good one. It might show up better if they take it from the same angle as the first one. But, if that's their best representation, then I'd pass on the second one.

JMHO though.

did you guys read the post?? lol

I said that the first one is from a guys guitar here on the forum that i took just for comparisons sake! lol!!!

Actually the guy with the second said that, the guitar is the exact same color as the one from the forum member. I asked him to take a front shot so i could see as well.

lets see. He did say that he is gonna sell the amber one though that he told me was available. Crappola.

By the way. just so you know i am serious about buying one of these. i lost my job last week but i am still gonna buy the EBMM!

Sorry 'bout that. I didn't catch that the first pic was for comparison. I thought you had the option of buying from a forum member, or from the seller in Germany.

Honestly, unless you're looking for a particular quilt pattern, or you're leaning towards one color over another, both will be good. Best of luck in your search.

AS long as it has the deep bowl on the top to allow for the trem bar to stay on, it doesn't matter if it's the old G&G case or one of the newer SKB's.

I've gotten two Axis's with the newer case, and two with the older one, and there's no difference.
