Hey, u talkin to me? NY

It would be cool to pick the neck you want with the body and pickups you want at the factory. I love the Luke body, electronics and hardware but, I can't get into the V neck (my first EBMM was a Luke 1 back in the late 90's that I ended up selling, I got back into EBMM when I fell in love with the Axis'). BP would probably not dig this at all but, have a custom shop option where you can select from a list of necks, bodies, electronics and hardware (based on the existing production guitar models and options of course). The headstock should have the usual EBMM logo with a Custom on it. If your Axis guitars had Al necks would you have held on to them?

Maybe I'll start a post and see what everyone else thinks. I'm a product manager by trade, so this is how I always think (re-use existing products and technology without additional costs to the co. and give your clients more options = more revenue)....:D

You might want to do a search first.

Basically, it turns into a logistical nightmare from the manufacturing side of things and BP and the crew have more than enough to do with the current range of options that they give.

While the concept holds merit, the logistics would be a nightmare.

Come to think of it, that would be considered a "Custom Shop" in the purest of terms.

To get that from ANY guitar manufacturer costs 2-3 times the normal price...and that's only if they offer Custom Shop instruments. Those costs are due to the complexity of running a custom operation. The number of options would go from 130,000 to a million or more.

Music Man instruments are already made to order. You'd push the wait time to double or triple what it already is, increase the price of standard instruments to cover overhead, and create a logistical nightmare out of what is already a complex operation.
