My Silo with piezo is on it's way. But this isnt' about that.

I'm off to Tokyo again in Dec. I'm totally gassing for one more ball, but I really can't decide between 2 guitars. (or 3 for that matter...)

Help me out:

1. JP7MD - I've already got a JP6, and I've always thought it'll be cool to have a 7 string piezo guitar... The only thing that bugged me about the JP6 was the neck. After playing strats, I kinda prefered a slightly thicker neck, and a smaller fretboard radius. That's why my very next ball I went for was a Silo... But with the 7 string neck, it's gonna be a close fight, because the neck is wider, and there's more to grip. But the question is, I've already got a 7 string baritone. Do I want ANOTHER 7 string?

when my other options are:

an Axis - I remembered in August when I was in Tokyo, that there were quite a few RW Axis lying around. I've been gassing for that ever since, but decided to get the JP6 first, and the Silo next. Now, I think I want an Axis. I'm not bothered by the missing tone knob, but I am bothered by the floyd. So it looks like an ASS for me. But RW? or not RW? I dont' want any more basswood guitars, but the maple tops might be nice... the RW is more preferred though...

or, I just might buy a Luke...:D

Or, if I can still find one, a 20th Silo...

So whaddya think?

Dude.. for every guitar that you own, you must have a backup that is of equal value.

That's my philosophy, at least! :D

I'd agree, only I wouldn't place emphasis on value. It's more on guitar capability. So, to back up my JP6, I've got my silo coming... I hardly touch the 7 string, so maybe a JP7 is redundant...

But a RWASS or a Silo20 is just so gorgeous!!! I dunno...

Looks like you got your work cut-out!!

For me, just go with the Axis and the FR (basswood makes for better fuel anyway!!) Then "fire" that baby up!:)

I love my Rosewood ASS, so if I were you, I'd buy. I'd buy one real quick. Especially if you've been GASsing for one for a while now. Buy anything else, and that GAS will linger until you break down and buy the RW ASS. Soooooo, you might as well buy it now!

Problem is, I'm gassing for a 20th as well. And both, once gone, are... well... gone. damn...

Flip a coin that has three sides? :D

If you're eventually getting them all, doesn't really matter which one's first right? :D

OT: I miss Tristan! :(

It does matter... cos the likelyhood of being able to find a RWASS or a 20th in the next year after I return from Japan is another bitch...:D So, which do I take first? and which do I risk not getting ever???

IMHO, I would go for the 20th first... It's essentially a BFR without the BFR moniker...

I just find it kinda weird using those lingo on an EBMM forum...
No offense though!

Anyway, back on topic:
I really like the RW Axis too, but if I were to given a chance between the two, I would go for the 20th without a doubt. There are still quite some NOS RW ASS in Japan, at least I still saw some in some jap-online-web-shops' inventories...
