Had the Mahogany basses that are being ordered not come out this month, I would have ordered one. For next years tax return, it will either be a Game Changer or a 10th Anniversary Bongo if one is made and depending on all what is on it.
Was at the local GC with a guitar player friend last week and they did not have one yet.
Have my 3rd interview with a new company this coming Tuesday -- they put you through the wringer at this place -- I'm on the short-short list at this point.
If I land this job then a Gamechanger will be piggy banked for 2012!!!
BP – I’ve always been a guy who tweaks gear, hacking around on things like pick-ups, amps and wiring. I used to rewire guitars so tone knobs did things like put pick-ups in and out of phase. I’ve made Frankenbasses with cheap basses so I could muck with all that stuff. But I never did anything like that with any of my MMs. Yet I always wondered what it would be like to jack around with the coils and wiring on them.
I know the MMs aren’t holy relics that shouldn’t be modified, I just loved the way they sounded from your factory and didn’t think I could improve it much. My BA SSS gave me some of that tweakability but to be honest, I miss that great MM humbucking sound.
Thank you so much for giving us hackers (I mean that in a good way) such a powerful tool that requires no soldering, burnt fingers and cursing at ourselves. I cannot wait for it to get here and promise to put some sound bites up for the knuckleheads, once I figure it out.
That would be me, A.J. If the FedEx world moves as planned, I'll have it tomorrow. Now I just have to get all the wife's "weekend honey do's" done tonight.
Kevin (a.k.a. an old hacker)
Wow - now Criag and I have something in common. Not the whole Sheryl Crow thing, just the GC...
