I've added an orange swirl PG to my desert gold Bongo.
(old and new, that's right)

I think it's really beautiful and unique.

Thank you all!
This beautiful bass gives me a lot of joy these days. Just one look at it brings a smile to my face. And when I plug it and hit a string... wow, the day is made :)

Very nice! Where did you get it?

The Bongo is from a nice forumite at TB (gearhunter), and the PG is from my local distributor: I've ordered it here, in Ukraine.

I'm going to go against the grain here...

The desert gold looks really nice, but I don't like the swirl pickguards, too busy looking. Just my personal opinion (since you asked) and not meant in any way to distract you from your enjoyment.

Then again... as a kid I used to eat peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches, so my personal taste is definitely in question.

peanut butter and mayo....where you pregnant as a kid

No, I was never pregnant. But then again, every time I ate one of those sandwiches I seem to remember craving orange swirl ice cream with medium rare roast beef... oooh and dill pickles!!:D

I can see your point. But that _was_ the task to make this bass look 60-s-motey-weird :)
