Old vs New

Was there years when stingrays were exceptionaly good or bad. Are the old ones better than the new ones or the new better than the old.

I have had some really good "old" Stingrays. Pre-EBs. I have also had some that were not so good.

I have had some really good "new" Stingrays. Ernie Balls. I have not had any stinkers.
