Question Older Stingray neck bolts ??

Not knowing much about older Stingray 4s, I was wondering if SRs had years where they used only 4 bolts on their necks. I know they had the 3 bolt necks but I thought maybe they went from 3 right to 6 bolts ? Saw a 1988 SR on FeeBay with 4 neck bolts and a body with 4 bolts but it was being sold separate as a parts bass.

A 1988 will be a 4 bolt neck.

They went from 3 to 4 and then to 6 bolt (current).
