Dude you better think long and hard about what you are going to do...

because once you buy an Axis you are going to say goodbye to all your other guitars and end up selling them............

That statement is incredibly accurate - it happened to me and it all started with this....

Also seen here with my SECOND Axis (as the EBMM virus began to take over)...

And now I have a family of 'em...

Buy smart, buy well, buy often!

(By the way, the Axes are all 2000 models, and the Axis Sport is a 2001)

Very true. In January 2007 I purchased my first EBMM - an Axis. At the time I had 3 Strats, 1 Tele and a Gibson SG. A little over a year and a half later, I have 4 EBMM's and 1 Strat (that hasn't been played in 19 months...)

I have had my blue Axis since 96 when I bought it brand new, and it's as incredible as the day I bought it. No issues and comfort and tone +. The newer ones are no different.

Only differences I've noticed on the older ones vs the newer ones is the change in the color of some parts the Gotoh Floyd hardware (rear locking posts and fine tuners) from black to a carbon/grayish black color on the newer Axis. Both look great but different.

As I said, here in Europe you can get a 2nd Hand (but almost mint) Axis for about $1800, if you look well, you´ll see good ones for about $1400/$1500.

Being in Europe, if you can find a good Axis from a collector wich hasn´t played the guitar at all for about that amount, I think it´s a good price.

If you grab a good Axis from Ebay, a good one for, for example, $1200, that makes like $1300 with the shipping, so, there´s no big money difference, and you forget about the overseas headache.

Lucky you, people from the States........
