OLP logo removal on MM1

Hey guys,
I've got an OLP MM1 guitar signed by Dream Theater. I like playing the guitar for certian songs but I hate the unsightly OLP logo. Not because it says OLP but because it's so freaking huge and takes up the whole front of the headstock. My guitar is wine red with matching headstock. Is there anyway that I can remove the logo and not damage the paint? Has anyone here done this? I really don't want to take it down to the wood if I don't have to.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I'm not trying to put a Music Man logo on the headstock and pass it as an Axis

If it is signed by the whole band, I would leave it alone. Who knows, you may wish to part with it one day, and I am sure you would get more for the guitar if it wasn't modified.

I doubt that I'll ever be parting with this one... My wife bought it for me

Well, it would require the removal of the tuners and strings, but you could (CAREFULLY) wet-sand the headstock with super-fine paper JUST until it comes off. Then you'd have to buff it back to a shine. On second thought, maybe you should just leave it alone.

Quite honestly, put it in a closet, and get another OLP to play. They're inexpensive enough.

I'll probably just leave it alone I guess. I was just wondering if anyone here had done it and had found an easy way of doing it. These are really underated guitars in my book. I also had one of the JP models for a while and besides the sucky tuners, it was a great guitar for the money. They're a good EBMM sub if your pocket book is tight
