Hello, I'm new to the forum. Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question. But here I go.
I came across an OLP Stingray bass. But it's a peculiar one. It has 2 knobs instead of three for volume and timbre and at the back of the headstock it says not the usual Licensed by Ernie Ball etc,etc.. But it says: Designed in USA and licensed by Musicman.
Is this bass a fake? Why would anyone copy an OLP?
Thanx in advance.
