Stingray (OLP)

3 knobs. Bottom two are volume and tone. 1 pickup. The top knob...
It doesnt seem to do anything.
Bottom pot seems to be a push/pull type, if so how to engage the preamp? Pull? Twist?

If it is active, i dont see a place to put a battery.

One pickup

If it is active, where to put the battery, and how to switch from active/passive? I got it for free and i **really*** love the sound of it. Gonna get an actual ernie ball within the year. But anyway. Its older and im just curious. Is there a battery compartment in the control cavity maybe? Under the plate?

I bought another OLP last weekend. I think these were all passive but no battery box = passive for sure.
The tone control didn't work on mine due to the PO. Here is the schematic. They are amazing basses considering the often sell for $250. I'm using mine tonight for a long gig but no way does it sound better than my 83' SR.

Can you post a photo of the pickup or give us all 4 wire colors?
