Well, as many of your remember, a few years ago I played the national anthem on the roof of a friends house. They have a rather large garden and had a music festival in it.
Well, roll forward a few years, and the event ran again. This time it was called 'A Concert For Linda' where the singer from Rough Justice, Hog, decided to put on a concert in memory of his late mother who died from MS. All of the money that was raised was donated to the MS society and we had a great day! Lots of local bands, and I was asked to re-create my rooftop escapade!
However, disaster struck! I had been up there earlier in the day to check that the wireless worked ok (one of those new X2 digital jobs) and it worked fine. When I got up there to do my bit it farted a bit and stopped working! NO!!!! I sheepishly got off the roof, threw a super long cable up there, and did it again!
The funny thing was, I was so annoyed the wireless crapped out my fear of performing solo in front of so many people disappeared totally! And I threw so many picks off the roof, it was commented that it looked like it was raining plectrums!
Here are some other EBMM highlights of the afternoon:
