No radius in the plate. The bridge was designed by JP and our design team headed up by Mr. Dudley Gimpel (my sen sei)

No patent on that bridge though...i mean the thing is moocho grandiouso

Hats off to the design team, JP and Dudley...

Did it receive any awards? I mean look at it, then eyeball a Floyd
...My question is why don't they include this bridge in other EBMM's?

I don't know about the patent, but the reason it isn't on the other models is because it's the JP bridge.

Hey Jon, speaking of JP guitars and how awesome they are, have you run across mine yet? Serial: g21540 Mystic, from Memphis, TN.

It had a high fret on it, and I had to send it back. All this talk about JPs is giving me separation stress sydrome. :)

Also, I like my action loooooow.

Thanks dawg! :D

I always played 9's, but I didn't notice the difference when I got my JP6. I attribute that to the neck, which is unlike any other guitar I've played and with few exceptions, easier to play than anything I've played.

Maybe that's why mine feels like it has 9's!

Now I know what you Pet owners meant...I cannot put the thing down.
I've spent this past year re-aquainting myself with guitar, after a lengthy lay-off, and I've had the pleasure of owning a few different guitars, mostly EBMM's, and I want to say that I know I have found my guitar. I thought perhaps a thicker neck was for me, but the Pet was made for me and I am convinced that I not only need another (Piezo) but that it should be the only guitar I play...so I'm going to sell off all my guitars...I don't think I can play anything else...I'm in love...thanks EBMM, thanks John!
Hey Raz, grats again on the purchase. I'm sure you've heard enough of my raving on sevenstring.org but I wanted to jump in here with an "amen." I've always said my JP6 makes me a better player; whenever I plug in with it, I play better, I play longer, and I'm inspired to play greater things. It sounds corny as hell, but now you know what I mean :)

My Ibanez 7620 is spending a lot of time in the stand now, even though I really really like the seven string it's just not "magic" like my JP6.

Hey bro, sup...now I recognize you...and I hear ya, I hear ya loud and clear. There was a time when I thought, man is a JP really worth that money or are you just paying for the sig. model...well I know now not to question the good folk at EBMM, that guitar is worth more...I still can't get over that bridge...they should have a patent for it...and the neck...oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!

Sell the 'nez and get the JP7 :D

I've been playing EBMMs for awhile now, and while I do think there are a number of other companies that make very nice guitars, I've yet to find another guitar that is any better than EBMM. I remember the one and only time I played a $20,000 PRS Dragon. It was a beautiful guitar but I wouldn't trade my Axis for it. I'm hoping to buy a JP soon. We'll see if it can unseat my Axis as my main axe.

Holy C%^$, 20,000...what did it have diamond inlays? I guarantee the JP will soon retire your Axis!

It had something like 500 pieces of of gold and other precious metals along with with precious and semi precious gems and minerals inlayed into the neck to form a dragon that stretched the length of the fretboard. I believe that all of the hardware was covered in 24K gold leaf. It was quite impressive. I'm sure thay have some pictures on the PRS site. They used to make a very limited run of these guitars every year. Each year's dragon had a different design. It was definitely not a gigging instrument. It was cool but didn't have the tone of my Axis.
