What am I doing wrong?

Tune keeps cutting out, like every 5 seconds after I click it on.

Same thing happened when I listened to one of mine Koogie posted.

Koogie, don't forget to post Alive and a few others. Alive has one cool kat progression. Wish I had come up with it.

Think I'll go more distortion in the next couple months thanks to a kick in the pants by Koogs and Steve.

Thanks for the compliments. I made a few mistakes....but, 'eh, oh well. That tune really means something to me. I will post "Alive" as per your request Keith. It is not finished yet, but, I will post it. When it is finished, I will let you know and re-post the finished product. Please keep in mind, I am new at recording so it may sound rough and not mixed properly when complete...such is the learning process.

I played all these tunes using my Line 6 Vetta II with programs I wrote running them through my M-audio interface using Cubase software. I have had many hours of convos with OC (my tone sensei) as to how effects work and what not and he has been a tremendous help in my search for that elusive tone. I have found some decent tone with the Vetta II and continue to tweak it in. Thanks to all who have taken the time to listen.

Koogs,

I am diggin' that "Alive" track... it's in the spirit of early King's X to my ears. (Not that it's a rip or anything, it just calls that to my mind.) I love early King's X (Out of the Silent Planet / Gretchen Goes to Nebraska).

Maybe you should get Doug Pinnick (bass/vocals for King's X) to lay some tracks on there!

Cool, I must say the tone on Alive rips, very pronounced...much improved over the first tune!

This is why we should have a sticky TONE thread!
