All in the best spirit of the MusicMan Community,
I'm a teeney bit surprised
at the anxiety I seemed to feel
on the closing of a now historical thread
on an apparently touchy subject

As humans do, I for one, in the past,
have said some things here on the EBMM Forum,
that I was afterwards, not so proud of
and for those moments, I apologize

However, over time,
I've also been offended
by some posts here on the EBMM Forum,
which others, including moderators,
seemed to find acceptable

Albeit I may fully agree
with the moderator's action to close a thread,
and the one alluded to, in particular,
and while I do respect and appreciate
his function and responsibilities,
and his own humanity,
and highly value his/her opinions
on all sorts of EBMM and musical matters,
and especially matters of Bongo,

I do feel just a teeney bit slighted,
not that he implies I'm not old and wise enough
to filter internet crap on my own,
nor that he expresses his own unmoderated view,
in a relatively unBongoLike Fashion (strong, refined, self-confident),

but that he fails to include ME,
the EBMM retail customer,
among those who pay the bandwidth cost
of this fine forum

In the True Spirit of Ernie Ball,
Music Man, StingRay,and Bongo,
I look forward to more
good and qualified discussion
that will inspire me to go forward
with my impending decision
to add yet another MusicMan bass
to my fine and humble collection
of quality musical instruments

Like The Man Said,
PEACE

I don't know what I missed exactly but I'm sure it's not that big a deal...

move on.

Andrew

You're quite right - it's not that big a deal

my little 'poem' was only meant to put some closure to my own feeling of uneasiness
sort of like playing bagpipes at a funeral

it was probably only my own insecurity that caused me to hear something parallel to Ernie Ball's experience with Microsoft in the final closing of the now forgotten thread

and I do believe BP understands what I felt
and why I need to satisfy my BongoLust

The subject wasn't "touchy". It was inappropriate.

Like me walking into what is clearly a gay bar and asking where all the girls are.

I think of it this way. If you see a sign, and that sign says "Mine Field" and you decide to take a walk across the area, should you be surprised if something blows up?

No. It is in the nature of the minefield to explode, if it can.

If you go to a Miami Dolphins home game and you're wearing a New England Patriots shirt........

....see my point? Don't run into a crowded Musicman Forum screaming "Warwick!" and expect everyone to go, "Oh my, yes, hmmmm, quite nice, eh."
