First, my Rad Red Pet had a problem...but she is fixed! :D

Now, I was dealt a VERY BAD hand.....my Pearl Redburst Pet hit the floor and wouldn't you know it....fret board cracked at long the neck. Literally, down to the fourth fret, it is off the maple...... :(

Ouch ... I don't know what to say. Depending on how it cracks, I think that's fixable. Small consolation, but still.

Wow, I feel for you Koogs.

I dropped my Pearl redburst Pet about six months ago. It hit a table and then the floor. No major damage, just a small dent on the back of the neck and a neck pocket finish crack. The table it hit got a gash an my hardwood floor got two nice marks, so I guess the Pet won.
How did you drop it, which way did it fall?

Well, I put the guitar on my stand and left the chord plugged because the wife called and my Jack Russel took off after me and got hung up in the chord and snatched it off the stand. Thus, the headstock hit my gun safe and low and behold, crack long the rosewood...... :(

Raz, I will take a pic later....I am still PO'd because I was stupid leaving the guitar plugged in. Let this be a lesson to you all, if you put it down, unplug it!

Man, I can't even look at it right now I am so depressed..........and I was about to trade it for a Blue Dawn Axis......

Not to add fuel to the fire but I'd be in the fetal position for a week crying for my mommy! :(

Man I hope it's fixable. Good luck.

I have seen this about to happen several times at other places. It is a rule I preach at Casa de NorM and I know I have mentioned it here too.

Save up and get the repair done right.

I'm sorry it happend and pictures would be a valuable lesson.

Ouch! Sorry to hear the bad news Koog. Maybe It's something Jon Guitarz and his crew could do for you. You know it would be done right.

Perhaps you can swap the neck for a new one? Im sure the fine folks at EB/MM would understand such a tragedy and allow you to purchase a new one.

i'm real sorry dude !!!!!

plan a - ebmm (i think) will sell you a new neck if you give them your damaged one.

plan b - i know a guy ( nick bucci ) in north wilm who has the experience both w/ new fingerboard reolacement...and the expertise in painting to fix you....but it would prolly cost more than a new neck.......&... take ALOT longer....

Best thing to do is get the whole damn neck replaced, don't bother with the repair. You'll be happier in the long run.

I'm sorry, man. but somehow once you said it hit your gunsafe, the story took on this sketch comedy sort of air. there's the jack russel, his leg getting hung up in the cord, him barking at the guitar and the cord, then him jerking free taking the guitar with him, and suddenly the gunsafe becomes a punchline.

sorry about your guitar. I had an axis get killed in a car wreck last year that was caused by a deer. the deer jumped across the road AFTER my car had passed him, but an oncoming car swerved as he drove by me ( I don't know how the driver really through that would help) and hit my trunk, sending me and my stupid plastic car (sa%$rn) off the road. car flips, I'm fine, guitar goes flying out into the road where another car runs over it.

the insurence company woulden't pay for the guitar because it was "outside of the vehicle" when it was "damaged". the deer actually hung around skulking in the woods. (I know because every now and then you could see his eyes in the police lights...)

I am sorry about your guitar. hope it gets fixed
