Now the smart thing to do, and we should do the smart thing because we're bassists, is to go over to the Guitar Forum (who knew? there's a guitar forum here) and set something up with one of them boys.

Plan your work and work your work, that's what I say.

This should be easy. I have a song I can do and it allows a bit of room for guitar wankage and it's only three chords. Well, okay, four.

Or maybe the guitards will get smart and come over here and solicit a bassist?

I wouldn't wait on THAT.

Get crackin', foos.

We can't agree on color of a bass. We can't agree on strings. Amongst ourselves that is.

How you going to find a bass player out of this for a Friday night?

I may be able hear this from here in Kansas me thinks. Oh I know I will the day it happens the world will end. I think KS is part of that?

I know, let someone that really wants a sparkle play one from the vault. That should narrow it down a bit.

Or there is that one left handed Bongo lying about.

:)

this reminds me of one of those date things where everybody waits for somebody else to ask for fear of looking foolish and the hormone induced tension is thick in the air...except its bassists and guitarists...its a good thing i'm not going cause i should probably be slapped for that one

Jon S ... you down for a Rancid cover? :)

if so, what song u wanna do? i think Radio would be pretty fun. on the ska tip we could do Take Warning by OPIV ... its not Rancid but close enough.

any other suggestions? since someones prolly gonna make the suggestion, ill just go ahead and say that i dont know if i have the balls to try n play Maxwell Murder live. but a bunch of peer pressure and booze ...

I say screw the guitar players...

lets get a bunch of bassists up there and do Big Bottom by spinal tap!

I agree with higher1. You got tons of talented bassists gathering at the same place, time for Big Bottom.

I'd like to be the first to nominate Bovinehost to get up and play us a little diddy since he was so kind to do so to me on the Pit (declined).

Tommy, if you wanna do Whipping Post, I would be happy to second geetar the harmony alongside ya!

After I get an IV, I love doing a mean version of
Born to be Wild

The possibility of doing vocals increases proportionally with the IV flow
Backup vocals no prob :)

Aiight punks, let's get this tightened up, cause that's what you bassists are SUPPOSED to do! ;)
