Optional Dtuner Hipshot on MM SR?

I need to clear this for a friend.
Was at any time the Hipshot DTuner provided as optional from the EB?

a guy is buying a 2003 stingray 4 with an hipshot Dtuner on it, the seller says it was a factory optional.
Is this true?

I don't believe it was, he's most likely done it himself. I've never heard of it anyway.

No unless it was done through where an Artist had requested it as a Special add on.

It's the weekend, so Monday will be your best bet for talking to someone from EB. It may or may not help if you had a serial number to give them.
