I went to my local EBMM dealer to try and catch a look at a Carbon Blue LUKE today. This one had piezo and matching headstock. I did not want either of those options but I did want to play it for a few minutes and mostly check out the color since that is what I was considering for my LUKE.

Anyway, it was gone already. They do not stock much for guitars, but they are more than happy to get you what you want. They had a black Silhouette Special hardtail that hs been in there for a long time. I plunked around on it for a few minutes just for fun.

After goin' back and forth on the color, I went with the Candy Red, natural headstock, standard trem.

They had a few EBMM basses in stock and one of them happened to be Candy Red, so that helped me to make a decision.

Should take about 3 months I guess. Good thing I am patient. Also gives me time to sell off some gear to pay for it.:D

Looking forward to March.

Looks like you ordered my identical twin!! I only have about a month left to wait. What gear are you getting rid of? I have a G&L Legacy I'm thinking of getting rid of since the Luke can basically get those same strat tones, but i'm not sure.

congrats on a great choice.

I will be getting rid of a Carvin C66T. Absolutely beautiful guitar actually. Since I put the Lukather EMG loaded pickguard in my Strat, I have not played the Carvin at all because the sound out of the Luke set up is what rings true to me. It just feels right, ya know.

I am not one to hord gear. If I am not going to use it, it goes. I find the stuff I really want and use and hang on to it. The Carvin is nice but it comes down to, what I am I going to play. The Luke. I will keep the Strat as a backup.
