Hi there,

After a bit of bass shopping (I strayed off looking at other brands  ) I realized I'd love a SR4!

A few years ago there used to be a link on the MM site that had colors and options and I believe it included information as to what was an upcharge (painted headstock, premium natural, etc.).

I can't find it anywhere so I'm assuming it's no longer available for us to peruse?

well musicman item numbers are really easy to cope with..

the first three defines model and pickup configuration, eg 940 is big al 4 sss, 140 is bongo 4 h

the next two describes the color. eg 00 is black. codes are to be found on the musicman website.

the two next describes the neck, if it ends in 0 its non matching headstock, if it ends in 1 its matched. eg: 10 is maple non matched, 11 maple matched, 20 rosewood non matched, 21 rosewood matched, 30 fretless lined, 31 fretless lined matched, 40 unlined fretless, 41 unlined fretless matched. the bongo has its own system since its painted.

the last two are pickguard code. eg: 09 vintage perloid white. codes also to be found on the musicman website.

i did make an excel sheet for this but its stuck on my mac with the dead batterycharger :)
