Hi all,
I took an extended break from the guitar and my 2014 (I think, might be 2015) Majesty guitar was in it's case for 2 or 3 years.
There must have been some moisture trapped in there (even though I had silica gel in the case) since quite a few metal parts are now either rusty or " flaky"

Luckily the body itself and the electronics are still fine! However optically this once beautiful guitar now looks like trash :(

I had a good search to see if Ernie Ball Musicman offers original replacement parts for the parts that are affected (locking tuners, tremolo, bridge saddles, some screws), however except for some more generic parts this doesn't seem to be the case?

The pickups should be good after a very fine sanding I think.

If at all possible I'd like to restore the guitar with original parts, could anyone please point me in the right direction?

Cheers! (I'm based in Europe, the Netherlands)

EBMM has all the parts, but they're might proud of them.

You'll have to contact CS for an RA# then remove all the hardware you want to replace and send it in to them. Only then will they SELL you replacement hardware. I'd say you're looking at about $1500-1700 U.S.D. for all that.

They want 1500-1700 USD for those parts?
Lol that is the price of a pretty good guitar.

I am interested in hearing what kind of price they are asking for, and if they really want you to send these parts first.

I cleaned a floyd rose with WD-40 and a cloth that I use to clean my glasses.

Rust is gone and has not come back since.

Yeah- I would try removing the rust yourself and see how far you go.

The tuners (Schaller) aren't proprietary so you can get those from a variety of sources, but otherwise you'll need to contact customer service to inquire.

On a bright side the rust kinda matches the shield color :) All parts can be sourced either from EBMM CS or interned and I would think it is going to be way less than $1500 :)

You're looking at like $600 just for the bridge alone! You've got to replace basically all the hardware and electronics at this point. I think the preamp is $500, then you need to drop another $300 on pickups. EBMM is awfully proud of their stuff.

The OP said the electronics were fine ... and wasn't going to replace the pickups ...

(And even then, the pickups are Dimarzio, not proprietary.)

Thanks all for the replies.

It's good to know there is at least the option to get replacements (even if it sounds they will be costly)

I'll see how far I'll get myself with the rust removal first.

The original "black chrome" or whatever color the hardware may have been called at the time is no longer available. You now have a choice of chrome or matte black.

My educated "guesstimate" from stocking the parts
$180 set of tuners
$180 set of pickups
$450 bridge (less if you only want the logo plate and saddle cover)

The only part you need to send back to EBMM is the bridge plate with the logo, and you would need to send that back prior to receiving the new part.

That's not as bad as I expected.
However if they don't carry the original color anymore anyway, think I'll go full DIY first.
After a throrough clean and a new paintjob... Might just do the trick.
