Does anyone know what kind of strings EBMM uses for Axis?

I'm still using the original strings came from factory. If they are bad quality ones I will change them ASAP. Because strings of bad quality make fretwear quicker.

For the regular Axis, I believe they are EB Slinky 9-42. For the Axis Super Sport, I understand they are EB Slinky 10-46.

Close - for the regular Axis and the Axis Super Sport HH models they are the EB Slinky 9-42, only the Axis Super Sport MM90 models get the EB Slinky 10-46. I believe the Super Sports with trems get the RPS version of the strings.

Does EB sell black strings? I bought a used Sub1 recently and the strings are black. They're pretty cool, though the black eventually flakes off where the pick hits the strings [in between the two HB's on the Sub1.] I haven't had the chance to verify if they're 9's or 10s.

We don'tmake black strings. :p:D

lol, I once bought black strings, cant remember the company, Diamond or sth, they were really strange, sounded muddy after a while. Probably someone changed the strings in the axe, because he thought when the guitar is whole black, why not the strings :p

Leave the strings on for 6 months. They soon go black! ;)
