The loss hurt, but it was a good game and I'm (mostly) over it. As a born-and-raised Philly fan in all four major sports, I guess I'm used to disappointment.
I will be rooting for the Saints in Chicago next week.
OK SO I rooted for the ravens because I play golf with Kyle Boller who was made backup this year....Steve Mc nair pooped his pants and they lost...then it was always for the Saints but I was hoping for the chargers saints.......I have not done well recently with my football pick ems
I'm a die hard Seahawks fan, so I wasn't too pleased about the outcome of their game today. It was a pretty tough loss, but they played pretty well. So, since my team is out, I'm rooting for the Saints for the rest of the haul.
All 4 games this past weekend were fantastic. Great time to be a football fan.
Being a native New Orleanian (yes, that's a word... if you are from NOLA ), I can't help but pull ofr the Saints when they are doing well (which isn't often).
But, I'm a realist. Give the Saints time, they'll blow it.
If the Chargers hadn't dumped Drew Brees last year they would be playing in the AFC Championship. If it's not too cold, the Saints have a good chance of winning in Chicago.
I just hope we aren't looking at a replay of SB XX in 3 weeks.

Didn't anyone see the cute blonde girl in the crowd with the t-shirt that said "F*ck Da Eagles"? That was the first time I've had a reason to use the DVR cable box to actually to rewind live TV.
If not, and you want to see it, put that phase into youtube.com (obviously put the "u" back in it) and you'll see it in slow motion. Funny comments about it as well.
As for the game, I'm a VIKINGS fan and my wife is a JETS fan, so it really didn't matter to us. I'm sure our teams were off golfing somewhere.
Well...I'll admit it...I am a Houston Texans fan...WAR TEXANS!
But, I have to admit that the Saint's success this year has been really great for the city since Katrina. It is just a really good "feel good" story and if they go and win the Super Bowl....that would be amazing in of itself.
I've got to put in a word for my team, the New England Patriots...I'm still scratching my head and asking "how the hell did they DO that?"
San Diego is a helluva team...I really thought they were going all the way this year...maybe its the "Curse of the Schotenheimer" I really feel kind bad about it!
