Just venting. Got rear-ended Saturday. Stopped at a light. The culprit didn't notice that traffic was stopped at the RED light. Slammed on the brakes to no avail. It was actually kind of cool 'cuz she went completely under my bumper. Back tires were off the ground. She was nice. Admitted guilt as soon as the cop showed up. Even called me this morning to make sure I was OK. I was cool with all this until I had to deal with the insurance companies. Major frustration. Why can't I just take it to my favorite shop, have them fix it and then bill her insurance. Instead, they need me to take time out from work, come down to a body shop they recommend, have their adjustor adjust whatever, blah-blah-blah. Then I'll just turn around and go to the one I want to go to. Big waste of time. Aghhhhhhhhhhh! I like bicycles. Why can't my community be smaller. I'd bike everywhere. Save all that gas money to go towards some real G.A.S. Where is that confounded bridge

I had the same problem years ago, the only difference was I had my EVH MM in the back of the van. Dented my frets and wrecked the case.

As a father of a 19 year old single male in Southern, CA and paying $8,900/yr for his car insurance on a Toyota Pickup I will swear on a stack of Bibles that insurance companies do indeed suck...

I don't know what's more disconcerting, the almost 9,000 dollar insurance, or that theres a dude jr out there licking instruments for a whole new generation

Dude,

Actually your son's insurance is only $1200/year. He's taking the rest of it to support his babe habit. Maybe you should start paying the insurance company directly? ;)
