SteveL,

I noticed in a thread on the GP you said you had ordered a TC Electronic G System. I am drooling over the looks of this thing! How does it perform and compare with your other high end processors?

And where can I snag one for the price you got? ;)

Thanks
SteveK

A few guys posted some good info on Birds And Moons about it. Check it out.
Just thinking of that thing is making me all weak in the knees... ;)

I can say that it is amazing...It's as good if not better sounding than the G Force. There are so many options with the unit, that it would take a few pages to explain. I haven't gotten a chance to give it a home with one rig. I've been buying a bunch of new amps, cabs and guitars.
I did use it with my OD100SE, OD50 and a few VHT heads with absolutely amazing results. I run some effects into the front and some into the loop.
I have to finish loading in my new gear this week, then I'll really sit down and tweak it.
I just got a new guitar that has absolutely blown me away, so I've been playing the hell out of it and ignoring my other stuff....LOL
But I haven't even scratched the surface of what it's abilities are.
There is a great review that I agree with in the new Guitar One magazine....
I'll post some clips as soon as I get situated....
Steve

PS- I got it from GC....The manager is a good friend and hooked me up.

How would it compare to the Lexicon MPX-G2? I've been gassing for one of those, but they're too much $$$.

The quality is a but better.
I have a Lex 81 that I use in the studio...
This is an all in one unit with the guitarist in mind... Seamless patch canges etc...
The Lex has a serious lag time problem with patch changes...

I'm sorry to hear that, I really wanted an MPX-G2. From what I've read about it, I like the unique way that it can place effects where they belong in the signal chain, i.e. before the amp, in the loop, after the loop, etc. It has the most intelligent noise gate I've ever heard of, it triggers the gate from the guitar level before the amp, but it "gates" after the loop. Can't do that with a pedal.

I've also heard many good things about Lexicon reverb.

This is just my opinion. Nothing touches the quality of Lexicon reverbs...
I'd suggest that you take advantage of a store like GC etc...
Buy one from a place that has a 30 day return policy... If you like it, keep it.
Or you can just return it if you like it, and buy one used for less...:D:D
