I like how Timmons shows restraint, and plays purely for the song, yet you know he could tear your face off with his chops if need be. All class really, a fantastic role model. Has really great tone too, and really knows what he's talking about. His last cd Resolution is just awesome.

He's one of my favorites. He's doing a guitar tone class for our workshop this coming Friday and the Xotic pedals rep is going to be there as well, so I'm sure that BB preamp will be discussed. Then I'm doing a songwriting clinic with him that evening which is somewhat intimidating, but Andy is such a cool guy I'm really looking forward to it. :)

As far as him playing Ibanez, I remember him telling the story of how somebody hooked him up with a contact there and they really liked him and hit it off. I think they have treated him well over the years and he's a loyal guy who respects the promotion they've given him.

But while he will be promoting Ibanez and Mesa this week, I'll definitely be promoting EB/MM. :)

Andy Timmons is in my Top 5 nicest guys in rock.Back in the day on Long Island..You signed with Ibanez..or if you played Kramer..Matt M..signed you to ESP..when Kramer dissolved .So there's alot of techs from that time on Long Island... That have stockpiles of Ibanez,ESP/Kramer..and then with Scatterbrain..a bunch of BC Rich parts..Look at early pitures of Petrucci with his BC Rich STIII's..straight from FocusII guitars .Andy actually was a replacement for Al Petrelli..whom left Danger Danger to play with Alice Cooper .But back to the booster..before someone locks this thread for getting off base...I like the MXR Micro-Amp pedal..for extra signal boost .If you ever run into Petrucci or Timmons...ask them about Spit ,Raw or Hot Rocks...LOL...They should be quick with a story...ask John about ScumDance...I mean Sundance in Bay Shore

you really have to consider the BB preamp as something different from all the other pedlals. it's really the best solution ton increase your gain before the amp, and keep the signal as close as possible to the original...
