I picked up a Genz Benz GBE 400 last week for a very good price from Musician's Friend. I'm using it for my rehearsal amp. I'm waiting for a GB LS 410 cab to show up that I bought from a pitter.

I hooked the amp up to my Hartke VX 215 tonight and couldn't believe how good it sounded. I know what the cab sounded like with a Behringer hooked to it, so I know it was the amp making it sound so good.

Don't know how much longer the GK will last with the kind of sound that I'm getting from Genz Benz. The GK may be on it's last legs with me if the GB sounds any better with the 410 cab.

I was actually about to buy a GB rig when I ran across the deal on the GK rig. Now I'm kind of wishing that I had bought the GB instead. It's just more the sound that I want to get from my bass.

GB makes some killer stuff... (I was thinking about one too... til I blew up a 400 at a local music shop - but a bunch of players around here have them and love 'em ).

Hi,

I have a GBE 750 and I can tell you, it`s really a great amp! Great sound, great features and I love it! Genz Benz is really a great amp company!

What is it that you're not liking about the GK Larry?

It's not that I don't like the GK, I just like the tight, punchy sound that I was getting from the Genz Benz last night over the sound I get from the GK. It's a more pleasing bass sound to my ear.

It's the sound I've been looking for. Right now I'm thinking about getting a GBE 600 or 750 and trying it with my GK cabs. I might even take the 400 tomorrow night and try it with them.

Larry. Ive heard many good things about the Genz line. Ive heard numerous times that the Genz stuff sounds great with EBMM basses.

Mobay...you'll get a chance to test out a bunch of GB gear at School of Bass since they are a sponsor. Jeff Genzler will be there as well.

I do remember that. I already have the amp, I have a cab on the way that I got from a pitter and I'll probably have at least another amp by then.

Jeff Genzler rocks... when I was deciding between GB and GK I had some questions. My local sales schlep gave me GB#... next thing you know I'm talking to Jeff (and had no idea it was him at first. Great guy - GK just suited my needs better)

Yeah, I was pretty impressed when I called the factory and he answered the phone himself.

LOL...Jeff just did what Larry Hartke is now paying for full page color ads for...seen that one?

That was a strange ad. Its one thing for the president to answer the phone and another for the president to answer the phone and announce to the world that he is doing it.

I'm looking to check out the Neo-Pak.
