So yeah, Im a bassist.

However, Ive been playing some acoustic gigs on the side for extra dough. I also write on guitar a lot. Ive found myself taking on a project recently that involves co writing, and some producing.

Ive been using my Taylor 810 for all of this, but it was a gift from my girlfreind of two and a half years. The girlfriend that recently became my ex girlfriend.

Its hard to want to write and play on a guitar that has the emotional attachments of the Taylor 810, so a couple days ago I splurged and wound up with a sweet Larrivee L-05MT. Its all mahogany, and sounds really sweet.

Im very impressed with the quality of this guitar. Quite simply, it KILLS.

Here it is:

Welcome to the Larrivee club!

I myself have one "serious" acoustic, the L-05, which is much like yours, save that it has the Cedar top, not the Mahogany top. I also dig your ebony tuners. Mine are plain old chrome.

It sounds fantastic. Top quality workmanship.

I am currently paranoid about dehydration. I noticed some minor finish cracking near my fretboard and rosette. Perhaps I let it dry out too much over winter. Other than that, it is fantastic. Though, I don't play guitar nearly as much as bass.

This is a pretty coincidental situation here, I'm a bass player as well and I've never even owned a six string up until this morning. I impulse-bought a strat, I know, I fail :D. By the way sir that is one seriously slick looking acoustic, very pretty.

Beautiful guitar. Great player.

I guess I'm happy to say that my only guitar is one I couldn't make 10 bucks off of, but it's incredibly special to me. My grandfather gave it to me. He's still around, which I am thankful for, but it means the most to me because he was the one that introduced me to making music. It's a Les Paul knock off, but I can't tell you who made it because the only marking it has is a serial number.

I have a crappy ibanez acoustic/electric that I play every now and then. In the future I may buy a Martin if i want to continue playing some acoustic.
