Anyhow, "back bacon" is Canadian bacon. It's taken from the tenderloin of the hog, which is located on either side of it's spine along the "back".

I must have been switched at birth... I love hockey, winter and beer, and told you what back bacon is. I hate summer but I guess one bright side to that is that it causes the beaver around these parts to shed their pelts...
