Patrick,

So glad to hear you're doing okay, especially since the medical community seems to think you should be doing very much NOT okay. That's showing them!

I cheated Death once. I didn't know it was Death; he said his name was Roger Hendricks and he looked a lot like my cousin Dwayne, who once pulled all his eyelashes out just to see what it would look like. Anyway, it was a card game and Death didn't notice, and you can bet I felt pretty silly afterwards when he admitted he was really Death! We laughed and laughed.

Seriously - get strong, play bass and come to the Desert.

It was determined that Patrick had MULTIPLE blood clots in both of his lungs. EVERY major Pulminary Artery in his lungs were effected and the right side of his heart was also effected. The doctors have said that he should not be alive...they believe he 'cheated death'."

Wow. Scary. Glad you're doing okay. What kind of "weight loss" surgery did you get?

wow man! great to hear you didn't die!
this is the second near death blood clot story i've heard this week...be thankful you aren't dealing with army doctors, else they might have sent you home with some motrin already.

Best Wishes and Get Better!

You just brought back some interesting memories.

Not GOOD memories, but interesting. I'm sort of glad to know it wasn't just me.
