Just wanted to share this with yall. Ive posted some of my past 6 strings and I just got a new one. I play enough guitar write, and Ill do an acoustic guitar gig every now and then. Im not even close to good at guitar, but I enjoy it (not near as much as bass).

Ive had the pleasure of owning a Larrivee L-05MT (all mahogany), and a few Taylors to include a 310CE, 410, an 810, and now this 714.

This 714 is one sweet guitar. Spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Its a 97 model, so the top has ambered a bit and the guitars tone has "opened up" a bit.

Im not a fan of Taylors Expression System electronics, so when browsing for a new acoustic I was looking at Talyors without electronics. This one has a K&K pickup installed and its one of the best sounding acoustic pickups Ive heard.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here are some shots:

A good acoustic guitar is something to behold no matter whos name is on it.

Best I ever had in my hands was a pre-war Martin. I miss it. Not really I love that bongo.

I get cornfused easily in my old age.

I tell you, I'm a bass player at heart, dabble some in the 6-string environment. When it comes time to practice the bass gets picked up more becasue it is just more satisfying for me. Can't really say why.

Sweet guitar, Travis! I love strumming an acoustic guitar (I have a D-35, which is my favorite guitar) from time to time, and I love how those spruce tops darken over the years.
