I just got back from the Paul McCartney show in Saint Paul. Oh Good Lord this was an amazing show! Perfect set list, great musicians, amazing lighting/stage. The sound for the first couple songs was a little shy but after some tweaks-awesome. Abe Jr. has got to be one of my favorite drummers to watch and listen to. Has anyone else gone to the tour yet? Anyone going in the near future? I just had to post about it as it was easily the best concert I've ever seen.

Did you notice that Sir Paul is a lefty? :D

I did, and to my suprise he was playing a left handed buttercream bongo with the name "Chuck" written on the fretboard in abalone.

just play'n ;)

He played the good 'ol Hofner all night and the guitarist/bassist played his Gretsch.
Freak'n sweet!

I've always loved McCartney's bass sound on the White album. Quite a bit different from the other albums. A real clicky/thumpy Jazz bass sound. It's especially noticeable on "My Guitar Gently Weeps". He even plays chords towards the end.

Wouldn't it be great to see him play a Ray or Sterling?
