LHS.

It has been brought to my attention numerous times that I have a certain affliction that seems to be plaguing me and a small percentage of the world over. It's one that has debilitating effects and leaves its victims helpless and confused. There has always been a cure, however this affliction requires many many hours of rehabilitation. It requires learning and relearning everything previously learned in relation to the issue, and will be vexing and challenging to the victim.

Along my path, I have run into many people that have this affliction, and through verbal instruction by myself I have been able to steer them in the right direction. I haven't been able to flat-out correct the affliction, but I have been able to make it less painful to them both physically and financially. I've made it a small goal of mine to save as many people as humanly possible.

So, what is LHS? Here's what we know:

- It's something a person is born with.
- Most likely genial.
- Affects the right side of the brain.
- Causes limited function.

There have been efforts by others to fix this ailment as well, but it is not curable by conventional means. Those who are born with it will be afflicted for life, but as mentioned above there are ways to correct it. As studies have shown, LHS has been linked to the flourishing of creativity within a person.

What am I doing currently to try to fight this awful affliction? I am in the process of relearning a few things that I learned previously and am strengthening those processes that did not get affected fully by the issue. I am looking into other area in which this is a concern and trying to correct them as well. However, don't fret! I write this not looking for pity or solace, but simply to let people know that this affliction exists and that there are some of us that are strong of will and heart enough to fight back and not take it anymore. Support us in our fight and hopefully we will be able to one day talk of our overcoming of our difficulties.

Final thoughts? Being left handed sucks and I am putting forth the efforts to learn guitar right handed to go along with my left handed playing. I have all the basic chords down all ready!

I guess I have LHS but also wound up with the PGRH (Play Guitar Right Handed) syndrome ;).

In all seriousness, I suppose I'm a bit ambidexterous - I play golf and bat right handed, but write, eat, throw, anything else left handed. Early on I tried playing both ways, and luckily (at least in terms of being able to find guitars) I preferred playing right-handed. That is what felt natural to me; playing left-handed just felt alien. Of course, I have limited coordination in my right hand and do very well just to use a flat pick; my fingerpicking sucks big time!

I cannot continue to defend the sanity of our anti-JPLH forumites and employees. It is simply too much to control. The force is strong with you, and as such I resign my duties as such. Further, I am hanging up the cape when it comes to controlling Spud's threads from getting off topic. Ridiculous, guys. Absolutely ridiculous.

WOO I WANT A LEFTY JP6!
WOO I WANT A LEFTY AL!
WOO I WANT A LEFTY SILHOUETTE!
WOO I WANT A LEFTY PIEZO!

I hate you guys.

I only have LHS when dealing with other items: scissors, measuring cups, knives, good golf clubs, walking in a straight line.

When I decided to start playing guitar, I just learned right-handed. For me, it was an issue of a faster fretting or picking hand. Combine that with the fact that finding a decent left-handed guitar is one of the trickiest things to ever undertake.
