Mr Ford is one of my top 5. FABULOUS tone and phrasing. His early stuff doesnt do it for me, but anything from 1987 onwards is excellent. He was a jazz man in the 70's, played with Miles Davis etc. His blues stuff is so unique, tone tone tone. and magic phrasing. Best cd's are Handful of Blues, Supernatural, Blue Moon, Talk to your Daughter. his live dvd's are great, and he has 4 or 5 instructional dvd's which are really easy to learn from, he speaks very well.

I thought you were going to say you were expecting your first child or something. But discovering Robben Ford is kinda the same.

+1, Rob. My favourite one is the "RF&Blue Line", the one with Life Song on it. Great tune, killer player, awesome phrasing. One of the best.

Marco
P.S : concerning the "he speaks very well" sentence, wonder how it feels for foreigners like me if also British-speaking guys find it difficult :)
