hey guys/gals.. well... i found a cab.. its a Trace Elliot 4x10 model 1048 its an older one with red stripes inbetween speakers and no horn.. middle recatbagular port anyways, its a good deal and local... i used a F*nder Bassman400 head to play through.. sounded good... so what do you guys think should i get the cab? i'll get a head after... i just need advice from some more expierenced people.. thanks guys :)

I got my 1048 years ago from a guy who taught bass. I also bought his Trace AH300 head at the same time. Neither has let me down and it still sounds great.

You know what most everybody here is gonna say cuz everybody blows their fave horn.

Alls I can tell you is if it weren't for that dang Dargie Delight thang I'd be out test driving lightweight Ash*s and Ed*ns to push my creamy old TE 1518 BigBox.

Fact is my TE AH250 still does a wunnerful job, but at 65 lbs I keep wearing out my roadeez.

Just remember one thang, them good ol' TE cabs were made for Brit style amps by Brit style babes that wore good old fashioned Brit style bras and sweaters ;)

With the Trace you have to go Ashdown. Tried a GK800/TE combo once (it was a house rig) - didn't seem to mesh right. Later that year they threw a Ashdown ABM on top and it was killer!
