Rearranged my university room at the beginning of this semester. Used to be, whenever I wanted to take a break from the textbooks and the papers, I'd have to trek all the way across the room to where the Bongo was. Now I just reach to the left.

Life is good. I'm going to have some killer study sessions this year.

Cheers to any fellow EB playing undergrads out there,

The Non Functional Door

By the way, that door behind my bass and amp is non-functional - it don't open. For whatever reason someone stuck a sticker that says "Ladies" on the door. It was there when I moved in. But I've never been able to verify the contents.

If I was you, before I opened it, I'd probably want to get my supplies organized, have a shower, put on a little aftershave ... :)

Time to call Geraldo. Maybe Hoffa is behind the door.

Unfortunately, I usually forget the little steps like that. I just went and attacked the door first thing after I saw it. But locked with a key that I don't have or it's permanently sealed. So I dunno what's behind.

Funny... :D

Hoping that with the bass so close at hand your studies don't suffer... ;)

Of course not. In fact, my bass instructor says I'm doing better and better with every successive lesson :D

Nothings permanently sealed . . . . . . try a chain saw, that should open 'er up in no time at all! :D :D :D :D

What's the little box on top of your amp? I'm a pedal junkie and I have to know:D

Nothing special - just a Korg Pandora Headphone Amp. I run it through the FX loop on the GK so I can practice along with the metronome and the drum tracks.

*That* particular dictionary is very
- highly and dangerously classified
- and kept locked in the trunk
- of a 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado

No, no. Cheers to YOU. That's a damned sexy bass you've got there. I guess this means I'm obliged to set up my basses next to my amp and take a picture of my apartment.

Nice setup you've got there. My student room is also full of instruments, guitar case, guitar amp, bass amp, I had to put my bass and case under my bed because I don't have any space left

I highly recommend you find some EB posters and paste them on the walls around your setup. If you live in sub-par housing (my university's housing is pretty cheesy - note the random, non-functional door in the middle of my room), you'll be amazed at how much more quality things that say "Ernie Ball" add to the room.

Yes. Compared to me you are very motivated. The effort of having to reach under a bed each time I wanted to play would probably be detrimental to my practice schedule :)
