Its a road trip so I can go to any part I want. lol

Anyways We decided to make the biggest part of the trip seeing the grand canyon and possibly backpacking. We still do plan on going to california just because I always really wanted to see the west coast..

Hmm what is there cool to do/see in california"?

Jon's mom lives in Los Angeles! She has a Sterling, too.

I can't think of anything else to see or do in LA.

Joshua Tree is a very cool place. Very...spiritual, and I'm not overly spiritual.

Monterey, Big Sur, Carmel and the entire Pacific Coast Hwy up that way is possibly the most beautiful coastline you'll ever see.

Do you like garlic?

Santa Cruz is also a very weird place to hang for a while.

Someone said no tours of Ernie Ball factory, but also in SLO is National Resophonic Guitars, they might have tours there. If in LA hit music row at Sunset & Gardener area, GC, Mesa, Carvin is there probably others as well, been awhile since I've lived in LA. For some sights, just keep driving West on Sunset Blvd, it eventually hits the beach & going through Beverly Hills & Bel Air is well, an experience.

Bad time for backpacking here now because it's summer.

But if you head down to San Diego the forests in Alpine and the Laguna mtns still offer better temps.

Yosemite or Tahoe. Or if you're a wine person, go to Napa or Sonoma (did the Domaine Chandon tour a few years ago...pretty interesting). Actually, there are many parts of the state where wineries have popped up.
