Saw DT last night at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. Excellent show. Honestly, the best concert of my life. We were 7th Row in front of JP. The whole band sounded great. James LaBrie was hitting high notes like crazy, Portnoy was on fire like usual, as well as Jordan, and JM. JP's tone was absolutely out of this world, and the set list was amazing. JP's BFR's looked amazing and I was really surprised when they played Panic Attack, and Blind Faith, JP usually uses the Silo Baritones, but this time he was using his regular BFR's with a heavier string guage I would think. Sounded fat and heavy. Absolutely incredible. One of the coolest moments was during the medley, some of DT's kids came out and were jamming on Mike's drums. Awesome. I couldn't get any pics because camera's weren't allowed in. Any other forumites go to this show?

Wonder if there is any chance of these being proto baritone JPs? I'm guessing not because I'm sure BP would keep us in the loop on production.

God to hear the concert was so great, what was the medley like?

I saw them a few months ago, they all sounded great, but the thing most people noticed is that LaBrie is in great shape (vocally :p)!

I saw the Radio City show that was filmed for the Score DVD and Labrie's pipes were the highlight that stuck out in my mind. He gave an incredible performance.

I was at the Toronto show as well. It was awesome. I was in the pit of people at the front, in clear view of Myung and his Bongo. :D

I don't know why they've cut down their set list for this tour.
I've seen them 3 times so far.
The first two times I saw them, they played 3 hour shows and on this tour they played an hour and a half. :(

Yeah, the Score DVD performance was JLB's best for years!!!
I have to ask though, is there officially gonna be an actual JP baritone guitar? Because, the Silhouette Basses are cool and all, I just don't like the switching, it's strange...I love the JP switching and electronics...that and, it'd be cool to get it in a rosewood fingerboard, with piezos, and the floating JP trem. Anyone know anything about the JP baritones if they exist?

BP announced not long ago that it was in the works. So expect more information on it soon. But yes, it is real.

thats a wicked set list,i saw them in toronto last week, and the set list was a little simliar

constant motion
never enough
blind faith
surrounded
lines in the sand
dark eternal night
the presence of enemies 1&2
scared
medely

somthing pretty close to that, i might have missed a song or two, but it looks like they had 4 or 5 core group of songs for this tour and chose the rest of them randomly, which is pretty awsome!!! they rocked, even when JP had guitar problesm!

They've all said numerous times in interviews that doing "Evening With..." shows for 3.5hrs 6 nights a week really tired them out, and it didn't give fans an outlet to see upcoming bands as opening acts. They haven't had opening bands in years, maybe since the Scenes tour, so they've appropriately trimmed their setlists. I'm actually all for this decision, I think it makes shows a hell of a lot more enjoyable.

Well, Dream Theater always put on a memorable show, no matter what, so I don't mind the shorter set...I just wish they would tour with Opeth or Rush...I would die.
