The Ana Popovic show was a lot of fun. She's a great player. The F#$%ers were a bit on the noisy side though. Gotta love the silent circuit. She's got some more dates in the states so recommend that if you are even tacitly into the blues and she comes near you, go check her out.
Pete,
As I told you, I threw the EBMM idea past her and she's interested. I've got her tour managers contact information so when they get up there to Manchester at the Hungry Tiger on 10 May they'll be interested in swinging by the shop and putting a couple of EBMM's through thier paces. The big string guy in her band was jaw droppingly good. Any Bongo lined fretless at the store for him to noodle with?
On a side note, I'm not one for playing the same genre for the preshow music so I piped a recent album by our friendly neighborhood Lucious through the PA. I had no less than a dozen people come up to me and ask who I had playing. There were some very suprised looks on thier part. I do believe that I sold a couple of units of Falling In Between that night also.
Eddie Kirkland's up next for me on the 23rd.
