I have been bitten... bad....

I suppose I'm in the perfect spot for it... golf capital of California. Never thought I'd enjoy it this much!

Any other players?

Love the game and you're right - you are in a great place to be playing golf. I have three tee times this weekend and the weather here is supposed to be great.

Awesome!

The weather won't be so great, here... but, it's supposed to be the coolest weekend we've had in a while. (By cool, I mean 102 degrees, but I'm use to it)

Going to be playing Stone Eagle and The Reserve soon... great courses, absolutely gorgeous.

Lots of courses in the valley are having a bit of trouble right now... memberships are down.

I hope that means that rates will drop a bit. That would be nice, as nothing makes your wallet lighter than a golf addiction -- unless you've got bad MM GAS. :)

I've been a "golfer" since 1982. I also enjoy making my own clubs.
Love/hate...............Golf teaches patience and humility.
My favorite hole on every course I play is always the 19th! :)

You make your own clubs, eh? That's impressive!

I need a new fairway wood.... ;)

It's a brilliant game! I reckon 70-80% of the game is in your mind, I love it.

Oh how I envy you! Out in western Sydney there are probably 2 or 3 good courses within 45 minutes of me. Sometimes I wish I lived closer in to the city as there are plenty of beautiful courses close to the water.

I used to play heaps a few years ago as I was just in my final years of school and first few of work, but the last couple of years have been a bit patchy due to work taking a much more of dominant position in my life. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on which way you look at it my handicap has gone back into double digits and my game has suffered because of it. If you can't spend at least a day or two a week on it, it becomes very hard work staying consistent.

But, still doesn't change the fact that I love the game!

Fun game and frustrating at the same time. I haven't played in over 4 years -- no time with a 4 and 2 year old at the house :) I figure I'll pick it up again one day when my kids are older.

BP,

Have you ever had/thought of having an EBMM golf tournament? “Guitars n’golf!” I would be totally in!

PS: I have the bug bad myself but I work too much to play as often as I would like. (I get on the course at least once a week.)

He already does the CLB Foundation Tournament. My guess is that is enough for BP - planning-wise!

Played "Sliver Rock" this weekend --- tough course. Not a great day for my golf ball inventory.

They paired us with two other guys... interesting dudes.... they argued with eachother the whole time. That's what happens when you're playing $$/hole match-play. Took us 5 1/2 hours because we had to wait while these guys climbed mountains and crawled through bushes to find every ball they miss-hit. I was half expecting them to bust out the scuba gear for the splashers.... but they drew the line. Thank goodness.

Great course... great weather... gotta love those 3-day weekends!

I have played Silver Rock a couple times. I like it. You should have played ahead. I hate playing slow.

Couldn't ... we had a foursome in front, and a foursome behind. The last few holes we kinda played in front a tad, just because we got tired of the arguing. But we had to stick around for the 18th green handshake...:D

I started back playing golf after 12 years away from the game. I played briefly in high school and now it feels really great to get out and hit a few golf shots during a round.

Funny thing is I just saw Sterling caddying for A.K. on Golf Channel.
Nice call on the 9iron, BP!
Cool.
